WHERE A HOUSE BECOMES A HOME

WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO!

Housing has become inaccessible to so many groups in society. From seniors wishing to scale down and having to stay in a large house because a smaller one is too expensive, to students, job-starters, singles and single parents who are out priced of the real estate market. But also foreigners arriving in Luxembourg as well as Luxembourgers deciding to live across the border are effected. The time to change this has come. It’s up to us to make this change happen through the choices we make and the values we uphold. If you simply want to support our mission of bringing affordable housing to Luxembourg, or you would like to live in affordable housing in Luxembourg, join us and take part in shaping this movement.

WHAT WE DO!

Our housing solutions have a minimal impact on the landscape they inhabit. Meant to be invisible once they leave, our footprint on the land is minimal. Requiring no toxic concrete foundation our houses hover gently on the beautiful earth they inhabit. Nature provides bountiful and we need to start taking less and giving more.
With our houses you can do just that: spend less, consume less, use less resources while being more in touch with nature, venturing out to connect with your natural surroundings, meeting your neighbors and sharing the good stuff in life, time. Time for more connection, more being and seeing, growing and learning, helping and letting be.

our mission

TO PROVIDE ACCESSIBLE MINIMAL SUSTAINABLE HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES

In the 1950s we used 15m2 per person
in the 1960s we used 25m2 per person
in the 2000s we used 40m2 per person
in 2020 we are using 47m2 per peRson

is it really a lack of living space, or are we continually using more the “richer” we get?
Maybe we can be audacious and simply use less space per person, giving more persons space?

With almost 3000 hectars available in Luxembourg of land classified as “build-able”, of which around 90% are in private handS and 10% ARE HELD by the public hand, OF WHICH there are third THAT are in our famous “Baulücken”, OPPORTUNITY IS THERE.
With political guidance to nudge the market towards a behavior that serves its citizens, this is one of the options that can be considered. With a “bail emphytéotique” between 5 & 15 years, land owners would benefit of their empty land being used, while providing a space in their community for sustainable living, a win win situation. The crazy thing about this, technically and logistically this could be done tomorrow. With a legal structure protecting landholders as well as supporting land leasers, we could finally provide affordable housing to all those PEOPLE in need of Sustainable Minimal Housing.
We ARE HERE TO OFFER HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES THAT ARE AFFORDABLE & SUSTAINABLE.
FOR THIS WE ARE LOOKING FOR SUPPORTERS AND ALLIES TO ADVANCE THIS MISSION AS WELL
AS PEOPLE THAT ARE INTERESTED IN LIVING IN A COMMUNITY THAT RESPECTS EACH OTHER AND THE ENVIRONMENT THEY INHABIT.

OUR COMPANY SHOULD SERVE SOCIETY, ANY AND ALL PROFITS ARE REINVESTED TO INCREASE OUR SOCIAL IMPACT.
